Indoor Skydiving!

Something you need to try in your lifetime is indoor skydiving! It gives you the thrill of what it would be like when you are free falling through the sky, often for longer then during a real skydive! Make no assumptions though, indoor skydiving isn’t floating and it takes a lot of work to stay in the air. Posture has a lot to do with how high you can get, whether you manage to stay in the air or fall to the ground and whether you manage to stay in the same space or move around. There will be an instructor and a video you can watch first so that you learn what you need to. Then when trying it out for yourself the instructor will help you to gain the correct position before releasing you. The instructor will then give you signs such as to relax, straighten your legs, to move your arms into the correct position, to raise your head etc, so that you get the optimum of your experience without reaching the ground too many times. Often you can buy photros or a video of your experience afterwards to that you can remember you experience and just how hard it was!

In your lifetime it would be brilliant to be in the audience of a TV show, it could be for one of your favourite shows, or a one off on a topic that interests you and you want to find out more! By being part of the audience you get an inside look of what it’s like behind the cameras, you can observe part of what goes on in making the show, as well as seeing the characters right in front of you! It may be a large audience, or it may be a small select audience, with audience participation

Bowling and Quasar

A fun thing to do with family or friends is bowling. It’s a great way to spend a day or evening, especially with some light competition! Do you think you could get the highest score?

Why not also have a go at Quasar/ Laser Quest. It’s great fun and again competitive see if you can get a high score in shooting the other team the most. You could always hide and sneak up on th other team, just don’t scream when being chased or shot as it will alert everyone else where you are!

Learn to Drive

A big achievement is learning to drive, so a must to do in your lifetime! It can be difficult sometimes during lessons but after you’ve passed and with more practise it becomes automatic shifting gears and clutch control! The ease of travelling where you want to go or visiting places you hadn’t thought of before! Sometimes just going for a drive makes a nice change.

Write a Diary

Why not try writing a diary for a year, It’s a great way to remember a certain time in your life. Once you’ve written it put it away such as in a cardboard box with other memories like photos, tickets of places you’ve been to or the cinema or theatre, objects that make you remember things like a dress or bib when you were little. Then when your older and find your trinket box again, it will bring back all sorts of memories. Particularly the diary where memories will be triggered you’d completely forgotten!

Golfing Fun!

Why not have a go at craaaazy golf! For this kind of golf you don’t need to be able to hit the ball really far and need a bag to carry all your golf clubs. It’s a course in a small space with different obstacles to get your ball around for each hole! See if you can manage to get a hole in one! Some of these courses will be painted bright coloured and themed. For example a pirate theme, you may be able to spot pirate statues around the course, a shipwreck and water flying in the air every so often with the sound of a canon! Fun for all the family, or with friends!

Organise an Awards Ceremony

Why not organise an awards ceremony for people that live in your area to acknowledge their achievements. It could be for people that have made a big difference to your area with their volunteering, or young people who have really made a difference in the community. You may be able to apply for money towards the event to help with costs. Then you just need to find a venue, send out the invitations and be creative in how the awards will look! It would be a brilliant event to commemorate those people that have worked so hard to make your area a better place to live in!

Family Tree

Something that would be amazing to do in your lifetime is to trace and record your family tree. Who knows who you may be related to in the past! By finding out and writing it all down, it would be such an achievement to show family and friends, and then when the next generation comes along it will be easier for them to see where they’ve come from originally too!

March 17

Boating

Why not try rowing or driving a speedboat! If rowing you could take it in turns and it could work well as a romantic date, or if choosing the speed boat option everyone can sit back and enjoy the view! Make sure before you leave the harbour though that you are able to start the engine yourself. In a situation where the driver of the speed boat moves away from the wheel (the key is attached to a band round their leg) then the engine will stop. If unable to restart the engine you’ll be in for quite a time!

See an Eclipse

Something you must see at least once in your lifetime is an eclipse. Where, during the day you can see the sun being covered over by the moon as it passes infront of the sun, producing darkness for a short time. For this event make sure you are somewhere where you can get a good view of the occurance, like up high on a hill where nothing can block what you see. It is a spectacular thing to see! Don’t forget to look up when your next one is!
